Tucked into the rice paddies of Pejeng, DaLuChu blends into its surroundings — where architecture and nature share the same rhythm. Pejeng has deep pre-Hindu roots — home to the Moon of Pejeng, a bronze drum believed to be over 2,000 years old, predating the Hindu-Buddhist era of Bali. It's also home to some of the most sacred temples and relics on the island, and to some of the earliest known inscriptions and temple remains tied to the early spread of Hinduism here — traces of that history are still visible in the stone temples that stand in this area today.
